Don’t Be Afraid

Melissa the Mouse warns Princess about hanging out with fire-breathing dragons.
Melissa the Mouse warns Princess

“Evan says not to be afraid.” Said the little princess.
“What are you afraid of my dear?” Asked Melissa the Mouse.
“Practically everything Grandma-ma!” Princess answered abruptly. “Life is unfair for us mice. Nothing I do is important. Nobody listens to me. I’m afraid of the dark, of getting crushed, of making a mistake. It’s hopeless Grandma-ma!” The little mouse exclaimed. “I’m hopeless.” She said under her breath. “Evan says to be brave and never give up, but he is big and strong. I don’t know what I am going to do Grandma-ma. I am so small.”

“Evan sounds smart, too.” Melissa the Mouse said to her great great grand-daughter. “Is he a friend from school?”
“He is in my book club.” Princess explained. “He is very smart. And he tells great stories! Sometimes I feel sorry for him because he doesn’t fit in with the rest of us. But everyone tries to be nice and he doesn’t mind. He is very warm and very helpful.”
“I am very proud of you for making friends with someone who is different, Princess.” Melissa the Mouse told her great great grand-daughter, “It’s important to remember it is what is on the inside that counts.”
“Yes, Grandma-ma. I bet Evan has an enormous heart!!! I bet it’s bigger than all the mice in the book club combined!” Said Princess.

“He must be a very special mouse, my dear.” Her great great grandmother replied.

“Oh, he’s not a mouse Grandma-ma. Evan is a dragon. A good one. He is visiting here from up North. He keeps us warm with his breath. I know that sounds gross but it’s pretty cool.”

“My goodness Princess! You better be very careful around a dragon. Stay on his good side!”  Melissa the Mouse hugged the little mouse as she encouraged her. “I think you should listen to your new friend’s advice, and not just because he is a dragon, but it is good to persevere, stay positive and know that even a little mouse can make a big difference in this world.  You make a big difference in my life, my dear.  You bring me so much joy!  And, I will always listen to you.”

Are You a Victim?
If you believe that life is unjust, you are declaring yourself to be a victim. A victim resists her life, rather than looking at it realistically and moving on from that point. Consider the possibility that everything that happens to you is an opportunity to expand into a fuller potential, and a more powerful and meaningful life. ~Gary Zukav

May today be all that you need it to be.

May you have peace in your heart and may

the freshness of life rest in your thoughts,

rule in your dreams tonight and conquer all your fears.

May Love manifest itself today in ways
that you have never experienced.

May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be
closer and your prayers be answered.

I pray that faith enters a new height for you,

I pray that your world is enlarged

and I pray that you step
into your destiny.

I pray for peace, health, happiness
and true and undying love for all.

Tell me something good.

What are some ways you have overcome fear? How do you stay strong? How do you keep the faith?
