I just love Coca-Cola, I have always been a Coke person. Now I am a Diet Coke person. When my friends at Coca-Cola asked me to share their #MakeitHappy campaign, I was overjoyed! I am not sure if the reason so many people came to read that post was because it was about Coca-Cola, America’s favorite drink, Kid President and #MakeitHappy, or because it was about the SuperBowl and TV commercials. But it doesn’t matter. The fact remains we love all of these things because of what they have in common. They make us happy.
I can’t wait to take my kids to this event and kick the ball around with them. Our family loves soccer. My boys love all sports, but they grew up on the soccer fields. All kids should have that chance.
Share some stories in the comments below and if you would like me to share some photo memories of your family enjoying sports and having fun, send jpgs to MizMeliz@MizMeliz.com and I will add them to a gallery on this page. #MakeitHappy
The new updates to the soccer fields and expansion of the youth soccer program were made possible thanks to a grant from The Coca-Cola Company through the National Recreation and Park Association. Helping create healthy community spaces for people to enjoy is one of Coca-Cola’s long-term commitments.
In May 2014, the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA) notified the Department of Recreation and Parks that the City of Los Angeles had been selected to receive funding through the Active Recreation Sites Program from The Coca-Cola Foundation, the philanthropic branch of The Coca-Cola Company, which supports projects and programs that are most important to local communities around the world and promote healthy living through physical activity and nutrition. The Active Recreation Sites Program funds projects that improve or enhance active recreation sites in public parks.
I received this information from the Coca-Cola Company and was encouraged to share with my friends and on my blog. I do not represent Coca-cola, I have not been compensated in exchange for this post, and all opinions are my own. Although this is an invitation and an informative post and not an advertisement, if you want to know more about why I post information like this, please read my disclosure.
