If you ask Ruth what she likes to do when she is not working, traveling, or stretching her brain muscles, she will say, “I like to hike, eat, and laugh.”

I would say she likes to express her desire to make the world a better place and that she is deep and inspiring beyond belief. Whenever I am blessed with the opportunity to connect with and listen to her, Ruth carries me with her to a distant peaceful place with her words, caring eyes, and beautiful smile.

I’ve never met anyone so humble and insightful. Well, perhaps I have, but I have never met anyone quite like Ruth and I don’t know how else to describe her. Come with me on a journey, and let’s see what she will tell us on Tinsel Town Live…

zebras-looking-e1470943798692If you ask me about my trip to Africa don’t be surprised if I tell you about the elephants, the hippos, the giraffes, the crocodiles, the zebras, the great kudus, the lioness I saw in the distance and so many cool birds and the spectacular trees.”

I went on a trip to Tanzania with Global Volunteers to help explore a program that has the potential to curb stunting and change the world.

“Happiness and fulfillment are not that straight forward. I am not sure we can make blanket statements – circumstances alone don’t necessary translate to feeling happy and fulfilled.” ~Ruth Curran on her inspirations from Tanzania

We will talk about her mission in life, her feelings about what she calls, “purposeful travel,” her experiences in volunteering, and of course, her passion for brain development.
