Isn’t it Romantic? Meet my new boyfriends, Brahms, Berg & Beethoven @LAPhil

Posted on February 2nd, 2014 by & filed under Uncategorized

Brahms, Berg & Beethoven … Ahhhh! I think I’m in love!

What is more romantic than a date night at the symphony? It doesn’t matter if you attend with friends, relatives, your SO, or a blind date because the music is waiting for you! (Disclosure)

WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL
THURS FEB 13 8PM
SAT FEB 15 8PM
SUN FEB 16 2PM

Berg’s early songs have more to do with Brahms than they do with the Second Viennese School with which Berg ultimately became identified. LA Phil Resident Conductor Lionel Bringuier underlines the connection with Brahms’ own take on a classical theme and Beethoven’s genial Fourth Symphony. Swedish soprano Camilla Tilling, who sang Haydn’s The Creation with us under Esa-Pekka Salonen, returns for these beautiful Berg songs.
