Leon Logothetis is a global adventurer, motivational speaker & philanthropist. It wasn’t always that way.

Leon Logothetis used to be a broker in the city of London where he felt uninspired and chronically depressed. He gave it all up for a life on the road. This radical life change was inspired by the inspirational movie The Motorcycle Diaries.
You can see the results of this life change on his current show, The Kindness Diaries, which is streaming on Netflix now!

Inspired himself  by the greats like Winston Churchill, Nelson Mandela, Michael Jordan, and Mother Teresa – Leon shares his insights with me on a Facebook Live interview (originally broadcast on March 7, 2017 on Facebook.com/MizMelizLA) answering audience questions and telling us all about his latest adventures!

Kat Kronenberg is a debut children’s book author living in Austin, Texas. As a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, her hope and dream is that through reading we can encourage one another other to “follow our bliss,” stay in the arena fighting for our dreams, and allow joy and fulfillment to be our internal GPS.

In addition to spreading her message through her children’s book Dream Big, she also provides interactive games that promote positive thinking, Common Core aligned discussion and project guides, and free downloadable activity sheets at www.katkronenberg.com.

Dream Big (Greenleaf Book Group, January 2017) will be available from Amazon as of January 10, 2017 and other booksellers nationwide.

More information about Kat Kronenberg can be found at www.katkronenberg.com, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

I look forward to meeting anyone who believes in helping others to Dream Big! I can’t wait!
We will discuss a lot of topics such as:
• How Kat decided loss wasn’t going to stop her from believing in her dreams, and how dreaming big actually helped her cope
• How games and activities—like drum circles, dream catchers, riddles, and songs—can help children realize their power within and from nature
• Why it’s important to help children become empowered by their dreams, no matter how big they may be
• How can we help children develop an attitude of gratitude
• How we can help children learn from nature—one of our greatest teachers
• How proceeds from her book Dream Big will benefit the Me to We organization, an incredible group that shows how one person can make a difference. Started in 1995 by a 12-year-old boy, this youth-empowered worldwide movement seeks “to educate, engage, and empower young people as agents of change.”

Interview with Carew Papritz Author of The Legacy Letters @CarewPapritz

Help me welcome Cowboy Carew Papritz, author of The Legacy Letters on Tinsel Town Live https://smiletime.com/channel/mizmeliz #onSmiletime

Tinsel Town Live with Miz Meliz Presents:

Author of The Legacy Letters, Carew Papritz

Wednesday, December 21, 2017, 6:00 pm Pacific Time

Carew is passionate about living the central message of his inspirational book, The Legacy Letters, by living life to the fullest. As a result, he’s done book signings on top of volcanoes, on horseback at Barnes & Noble, on whistle-stop book tours on Amtrak, while river rafting, on top of the Space Needle, outside The Today Show, and next to Niagara Falls!

carew-papritz-photo-low-resCowboy Carew, as he likes to be called, has created such national events as “The Great Legacy Letters Book Balloon Launch” in which kids sent aloft miniature versions of my book by balloon and then tracked how far they traveled. The event also helped such charities as The Make-a-Wish Foundation, Reading is Fundamental, and the Military Mama Network by creating a world record!

With his background of working on feature films in Hollywood, Papritz has created a number of YouTube videos series that help promote kids to read more.  One series called, “I love to read and . . .” has him reading The Legacy Letters while actually doing various activities such as skiing over a cliff, riding a horse, walking up to a castle, and much more! He loves a good adventure!

3d_book_comp_5awards-lo-res-pngIn the spirit of the book, Carew has done TV and radio interviews that include such topics as, “How to write the Perfect Love Letter for Valentine’s Day,” “How to Get Your ‘i-Kid’ Back to the Holiday Table,” “How to Create the Perfect Gap Year,” “How the Olympic Games Made Me an Award-Winning Author,” “How to Reconnect with Family in This Technology-Drenched World,” and the incredibly cute, “How to Write the Perfect Letter to Santa Claus!”

“If I get to walk my talk, live my book, and inspire people to do the same—while being outdoors—then I’m a happy man!” ~Carew Papritz

book-balloon-launch-bostonCowboy Carew Papritz really loves sharing with the world the inspirational stories that people have revealed to him about their lives from their reading “The Legacy Letters.”  H finds their stories to be moving, heart breaking, fantastical, and soul humbling.  He also loves talking about how kids can be inspired to read more by making reading seem more cool and exciting with his book adventures.

Farewell Tinsel Town  – Hello Inspiring Adventures!

Carew had this idea when we first planned doing an interview together…he wrote on my form:

“A suggestion:  How about doing a special video segment where we walk the streets of Hollywood, Sunset Blvd area, UCLA, and/or other areas while talking about my transition from UCLA Film School, working on features, music videos, and commercials to then becoming a working cowboy in Arizona while writing a multi-award winning book?  Might be a fascinating segment.  Let me know what you think?”

I was wowed by this idea! Carew seemed to have an insight about the direction I wanted to go with my interviews. So, we will be walking and talking on my first interview in a new series: Inspiring Adventures with Miz Meliz. Watch for it in late February 2017.

Thank you to everyone who allowed me to interview them on Tinsel Town Live this year. It really is my very own passion project. I love doing it and I am looking forward to seeing how it will grow and flourish in 2017 as part of A Year in Bloom! with love and gratitude, Melissa @MizMeliz

Meet Lou Redmond

I was so looking forward to meeting this fascinating and inspiring man! Our values are aligned and I always find it remarkable when someone has an awakening at a young age. Any age younger than me is young, okay! We all have the propensity to learn these lessons if we pay attention. I believe that Lou is an inspiration because he listened. He reacted. He acted. Look at him now!

“I do yoga, read, and travel. This past 18 months I’ve been to 3 countries on travel retreats that focus on volunteering and adventure.I’m currently working on finishing up my book project. It tells the story of my personal transformation and how I quit my 9-5 to pursue my passion. I’m also very passionate about meditation and working on creating ways to help people in their practice and promote it’s benefits.”
